Certified / Notary / Camera Operators
Our camera operators are certified members of the American Guild of Court Videographers and New York State notary publics. We have over thirty years experience in the video production field. As notary publics, we may officiate and administer the Oath, should the occasion arise.
Video Quality and Redundancy
We shoot state of the art 3CCD video cameras and record dual VHS decks simultaneously, allowing our clients to leave the deposition with a duplicate video tape in hand. CVS provides oversized backdrops (dark gray or blue) giving multiple depositions shot at various locations visual continuity. Neutral static backgounds improve the appearance of the video image. All deposition tapes are produced with on-screen time/date unless otherwise requested. Time/date appears in the bottom of the screen and remains visible regardless of the backgound, facilitating rapid editing turnaround times.
All participants are given high quality professional Sony lavaliere (lapel) microphones. These are low profile mics with excellent sound quality. Wireless Sennheiser microphones are available any time a deponent needs to move around freely. Employing state of the art audio mixing consoles allows us to monitor the live audio source or the recording decks in real time. For the benefit of the court reporter, we record a stereo audiocassette with the deponent and deposing lawyer separated on the left and right channels respectively to allow for clarification.
CVS offers rapid turnaround in-house editing services to match the final presentation tape to the requirements specified. We make editng easy; simply mark the deposition transcript with pages and line designations and we'll cut the tape for you.
